Dear Friends,

In response to current events surrounding COVID-19, YWAM Wylie is staying informed on the recommendations of state and local health officials. We have  prayerfully made some adjustments to upcoming ministry programs and activities. We believe these adjustments will serve to protect YWAM Wylie and the surrounding community.

Please review the following list.

Upcoming Outreaches & Missions Programs

  • The Winter DTS Outreach to Brazil has been postponed to June 6, 2020.
  • Our Fall DTS schedule has not changed and will begin September 23, 2020.

YWAM Wylie Campus Adjustments

  • In accordance with CDC recommendations, we have added additional hand-sanitizing measures around the campus.
  • We have increased the size of our custodial team and the frequency of our cleaning schedule.
  • We are committed to complying with Texas Governor Abbot’s executive order which is in effect till midnight April 3rd, 2020.

We want to emphasize that these changes have been motivated by love and respect for our community and our authorities, not from a fear of COVID-19. The coronavirus outbreak demands nothing short of diligence, but it does not decrease the urgency of the Great Commission.

Now is an incredible opportunity for the Body of Christ to rise up in love and in service to communities around the world. The need for Jesus is more apparent than ever, and our potential to influence the world is great. What the enemy intends for evil, God can use for good.

How you can join us…

  • Join us in prayer and fasting. The YWAM Wylie community has been committed to prayer for current events. We’ve just begun a 3 day fast. Would you join us in prayer to see the end of COVID-19?

Prayer Points

  • Pray for the health and safety of the YWAM Wylie community; incoming, and outgoing students.
  • Pray for those impacted by the virus around the world: both the sick, and those immobile due to quarantine.
  • Pray that we, the church, step out of fear and into faith, and find creative ways to minister to and serve our communities.
  • Pray for the end of COVID-19.

Follow our social media or visit our website for more updates.

We are praying for you and your family in the days ahead.

In Him,

Patty Bauman

Director of YWAM Wylie
